Nature of oils for part of Vankorskoye oilfield

Geochemical investigations of oils, gases and Cretaceous and Jurassic rocks were performed for part of Vankorskoye oilfield. A role of different source rocks in oil and gas formation was evaluated based on Rock-Eval pyrolysis results and GC-MS analysis. It is shown that Yanovstan formation rocks were a main source for oil.

Composition and structure of deposits of oil and gas bearing preobrazhenskiy horizon of Savostyanovskoye oil field (Eastern Siberia)

As a result of research the coastal-marine genesis of carbonate deposits of preobrazhenskiy horizon of Savostyanovskoye oil field is established. The substantial (mineral and organic) composition and structural features of dolomite, structure and quantitative characteristics of the void space of rocks are determined. On the basis of lithological, petrophysical and tomographic studies of core two types of reservoirs - porous and fractured porous ones – are isolated and characterized.

Features of geological composition of the Yu13-4 productive stratum at the South Cheremshanskoye field

A facies analysis of the Yu13-4 stratum in the South Cheremshanskoye field area using the technique of V.S. Muromtsev is executed. A seismic facies analysis within the 3D contour of seismic survey is carried out. A seismic facies map for Yu13-4 productive stratum is obtained. It is noted that this technique can be applied at predicting the variability of geological situations.

Sedimentologically-based geomodeling approach: reducing geological uncertainties for oilfields in Western Siberia

For Late Jurassic clastic reservoir of Krapivinskoye oilfield integration of sedimentology in geomodeling workflow is presented. For main Ю13 reservoir three facies groups of shallow-marine to transition zone sediments were interpreted recognizing predictable flow units succession in the reservoir volume. Petrophysical research suggested four rock types and determined the relationship between sedimentary and recognized petrophysical units. Mostly diagenetical character of excellent quality sandstones sporadically distributed along the reservoir top was established. Finally four rock types were used for geomodeling. Porosity and permeability distribution was modeled separately for each rock types with unique poroperm relationships while saturation model was created on the base of log and averaged by Leveret’s J-function lab data.

In quality of the steadiest reference points in the geological section of wells are allocated from upwards, the control of the general cyclicity of the geological section and tracing is the serially from wells to wells of the allocated interlayers of the various rank.

On the applicability of water-gas stimulation for Jurassic strata development

Laboratory studies of the oil displacement efficiency increase at water-gas mixture injection after oil displacement by water are executed. The core of four fields of Tomskaya Oblast was used. The displacement efficiency growth by 16-25% compared with the oil displacement by water was obtained. The method of experimental design to assess the risk of application of water-gas stimulation for oil recovery was realized.

Complex research on AV1 object of Sovetskoe oilfield development system perfection

AV1 is the largest and complex layer of Sovetskoe oilfield that is being developed for 45 years. It is characterized by high meso- and macroheterogeneity as well as by low filtration properties of the top part of the reservoir. This fact caused oil production delay and necessity of field development system improvement. Complex research on a typical 3D simulation model sector is separately realized for drilled and undrilled parts of the reservoir and directed to efficient field development system selection. New technologies and different field development systems (three-, seven-spot) are proposed depending on residual oil reserves.

The new steam generator with supercritical parameters of the steam injected for oil recovery enhancement of heavy high-viscosity oil formations, laying at a great depth of 1000-2000 m, is designed. A pilot efficient thermal insulation of pipes, parts and components on the basis of oxides of silicon and aluminum with special additives for injection wells is developed. It is noted that the mobile steam generator plant with capacity up to 10 t/h of steam with supercritical parameters in combination with heat-insulated downhole equipment will provide oil recovery enhancement up to 40% compared to the hard-to-recover oil reserves.

An attempt to assess the pump temperature depending on operation technological parameters by mathematical methods is made. A formula for determining the temperature of an electric centrifugal pump at variable speed of submersible motor is suggested.
