The expediency of the use selective protection from ground short circuits in the electrical networks is substantiated. The possibility of providing with selective current protection by the neutral ground through a resistor is shown. The scheme is described and the characteristics of advanced current protection, promoting the increase of oil companies power supply reliability, are given.
