Prerequisites of presence of areal anisotropy of permeability are considered. A method of planning, support and implementation of pilot projects, based on the experience of conducting research at Suzunskoye field and designing of its development, is presented. The need for execution of research works, involving 3D interference test, in fields with areal anisotropy of permeability is noted.
