Key words: heavy oils, Lower Permian, deep fault, oil potential, Volga-Ural oil and gas province.
Heavy oils of Lower Permian system in Volga-Ural oil and gas province is one of the perspective sources of hydrocarbon resources replacement. Permian oil-gas plays are underexplored. For partially problem solving was defined paleodepressions in east part of Volga-Ural oil and gas province, in which Lower Permian natural reservoirs were formed. Also in this article: the features of Lower Permian complexes were marked and their reservoir properties were characterized; the main types of oil and gas trap were review and their link with deep fault was noted; perspective and high perspective areas of placing Lower Permian heavy oil pays were delineated.
