Efficiency of forming of water-isolating screens in the net pay while completion

A conceptually new completion method to prevent water cut of the wellstream resulting from bottom water breakthrough to the annulus is considered. The technology is realized at the stage of completion; it involves selective forming of a protective screen in the water contributing interval. The paper presents results of the analysis of the completion technology, as well as conclusions and practical recommendations.
