Laboratory testing of precipitating and gel-forming agents efficiency for residual oil recovery

Both the conventional widely applied and the advanced precipitating and gel-forming agents for residual oil recovery are reviewed. The results of the experiments on residual oil recovery with the use of precipitating and gel-forming agents on the Tournaisian, Artinskian, Famennian, and the Kynovian core samples from certain oil fields in the Republic of Bashkortostan are analyzed. Conclusions are drawn as to the efficiency of the reviewed precipitating and gel-forming agents for residual oil recovery.
