The change of the borehole shape in space and time is considered. A large-scale experiment with the purpose to select drilling fluids, providing borehole stability in Rogozhnikovskoye field, was executed . The influence of inhibition and pore pressure on the state of the borehole in clay intervals is investigated. The essential features of high pore pressure manifestation are given.
