Advancement in production technologies, such as horizontal drilling and hydraulic fracturing, has led to decrease in production costs and to economic efficiency in production from unconventional gas resources in the last decade. Undoubted leader in the unconventional gas production is USA. Russia has tremendous reserves of conventional gas and does not pay due attention to the problem of developing unconventional gas resources.
