The current state of the Russian market of oil and gas services, the role of geophysics in it and the rate of the market absorption by the foreign companies, are considered. The necessity of consolidation of the existing geophysical assets into the large national multi-profile oil and gas service companies is marked. The problem of price regulation in the oil and gas service is recognized as an urgent, requiring a solution one.
