On the necessity of re-establishment of government program intended to oil reserves replenishment on the base of development and implementation of modern EOR methods

Key words: rational mining, enhanced oil recovery (EOR) methods, national program.

The article regards the actual state of oil resources in Russia. It is shown that well-defined national policy for rational mining is necessary to get over negative trends. International practices are presented. The authors propose to form national program aimed at development and implementation of EOR methods.

Common traits of study and development of oil fields in basement rocks of south Vietnam offshore

Key words: study, development, basement, simulation.

Vietnam has been producing oil more than 30 years.

Main oil reserves are contained in crystal basement rocks. World experience of study and development of such fields shows that in the absence of close analogues many tasks have to be solved for the first time and that common methods and standards have to be changed greatly. The article gives the results of the many years’ studying and observation of oil fields basements development of south offshore Vietnam.

Summary of Samara region Bashkirian stage A4 reservoir core analysis results for structural tectonic elements

Key words: core, porosity, permeability, formation factor, saturation parameter, water saturation

The paper identifies summarized functions: porosity/permeability, formation factor/porosity, saturation parameter/water saturation of Bashkirian stage A4 reservoir individually for 4 structural tectonic elements distinguished within Samara Region - Sok upfold, South Tatarian dome, Zhiguli Pugachevian dome and Buzuluk low. These functions can be used to substantiate petrophysical functions of rocks’ various characteristics when estimating hydrocarbon reserves and field development project documents issuing in the case of low core recovery or core absence.

Taxation models of a number of oil and gas producing countries on terms of production sharing agreement

Keywords: economic evaluation, capital investments, operating costs, investment project, the net discounting profit.

Tax models of a number of countries - subsoil users on terms of production sharing agreements, which may serve as an alternative for estimating oil and gas investment projects, are given.

Unified contract, based on production sharing, does not exist in the world, only a general principle is uniform. The government and investor participated at carrying out of production sharing agreements. This makes the contracts more flexible, allows to adapt production sharing agreements to any type of fields, to transfer the main economic elements of the contract from the sphere of strict legislative restrictions to the sphere of the agreements between the State and the investor. The presented models can be recommended for the economic evaluation of petroleum reserves at fields development at different stages of the investment planning.

Key words: expanding composition of cement slurry, additive for increase durability and adhesion, producing well, well completion, oil recovery troubles.

The paper presents the results of research to increase the strength characteristics of expanding composition of cement slurry for casing of wells. Increasing of strength of developed composition of cement slurry is due to the introduction of fine viscous additives the structure of the filling of the pore space in the forming cement stone. When using the developed compositions of modifying additives to cement slurries the strength characteristics of cement stone increases to 2 times.

Key aspects of the geology and development of terrigenous fractured porous reservoirs of Western Siberia

Key words: field development, coupled clusters, fracturing, decompactification, “small” tectonics.

The development of tectonic deformation attended by decompactification zones and small tectonics is the special feature of geology aspects of sedimentary cover of many West Siberia fields.

During the detailed seismic investigations was found out that fault lines became strike-slip zones formed by submeridional strike of different amplitude faults that influenced reservoir formation and oil-and-gas content.

The actual material and the field data show that the diagenetic porosity, that should be considered for the well placement and the field development system, in the terrigenous reservoirs of West Siberia oil fields is developed.

Investigation of the factors that affect development of oil deposits Talin area of Krasnoleninskoye field

Key words: well testing, injection well fracturing, fracture half-length, skin-factor, free gas separation, gas saturation, oil productivity index, operating regime, progressive increase of water cut, low oil recovery.

The present work is concerned with investigation of injection well fracturing and decrease of oil well’s productivity on the basis of well testing in Talins square of Krasnoleninskoe oil field.

Separation of free gas in bottomhole formation zone, concerned with bottomhole pressure decrease below saturation pressure, is the main cause of decrease of oil wells productivity and appearance of high amount of skin-factor. Even slightl free gas appearance (gas saturation is about 5-8 percent) causes three times decrease of oil phase permeability.

Prerequisites of presence of areal anisotropy of permeability are considered. A method of planning, support and implementation of pilot projects, based on the experience of conducting research at Suzunskoye field and designing of its development, is presented. The need for execution of research works, involving 3D interference test, in fields with areal anisotropy of permeability is noted.

Theoretical and experimental estimates of proppant embedment in carbonate rocks in Tatarctan oil fields

Key words: carbonate rocks, proppant embedment, linear elasticity.

Relationships between closure stress and propped width loss attributed to proppant embedment in the Bashkir and Tournaisian carbonate rocks have been determined. The amount of proppant used for embedment is proportional to the fracture area and may be quite ample. It has been shown that to maintain the width and the conductivity of a fracture in carbonate rocks, proppant concentration allowance shall be in the range of 2-3 kg/m2. Failure of carbonate matrix in the Bashkir starts at 20 MPa pressure, and this shall be considered in hydrafrac jobs when planning bottomhole pressure limit.

International standards in the oil company management system

Keywords: management, standards, information technology.

Modern trends of management improvement are associated with increasing operating and investment efficiency of the company due to the construction of an integrated asset management system by the life cycle. The efficiency of the management system is achieved primarily through the high-quality integrated data model, a unified classification system (for all control loops) and the reference data, information support and the possibility of collective work of sub-units as within the company and with external contractors with use of international standards. An analysis of international practice of use of data models and international standards in management systems is carried out.

Essential oilfield power supply diagram at all designing stages

Key words: power supply system, oilfield, geoinformational model, update model.

The article describes update maintenance of the essential oilfield power supply diagram at all designing stages. It proposed a solution for creation of the oilfield power supply geoinformational model in GIS AutoCAD Map 3D, a team-work of oil company electrical engineering services and design institute professionals. Eventual model development trends are observed. Application of the electrical network update model at the designing would allow the design institute to accept reasonable decisions towards potential field facilities power supply, and to retrieve information on network status and project development and upgrading.
