Key words: deformation and strength properties, rocks, static and dynamic methods, bituminous mudstones, uniaxial compression, reservoir conditions, the comparative analysis
The results of the study of the deformation properties of rocks, obtained by static and dynamic methods, are presented. The difference in the values of Young modulus and Poisson ratio, determined by two methods for bituminous argillites, is shown. This difference is caused by different thermobaric conditions of the experiments. The conclusion is made about significant effect of reservoir temperature and effective stress.
