Key words: hydrofracturing, foam fracturing, EOR methods, Surgutneftegaz OJSC.

Foam fracturing technology was successfully tested and implemented in Surgutneftegaz OJSC. Treated wells showed substantially reduced completion times and increased oil production compared to the adjacent wells, indicating potential efficiency of the technology. In the pilot jobs the guidelines for foam fracturing design and execution were developed. The method of controlling foam properties during the operation was developed and successfully tested.
