The paper focuses on the main trends of the ongoing drilling operations of Oil and Gas Production Department Almetyevneft. A number of case studies of horizontal wells targeting the Tournaisian and Bobric formations are presented. Estimate of total drilling efficiency for 2000-2011 is given including that for slim holes penetrating the Bobric formations.
