Fractures density and orientation forecast is a key issue for planning and analysis of fractured reservoirs development. A fracture model considers direct and indirect measurements. When a lack of data as evident to build such a model, only physical constrained approach could be helpful to make headway. This paper emphasizes the stress calculation of a geological body in large scale. Density and orientation of a fracture network are predicted on the basis of volume distribution of critical stress zones.
