Role of geological factors in occurrence of casing leaks

Distribution of production string leaks with the depth is analyzed. It has been found that casing leaks are concentrated, primarily, between the bottomhole and the tubing shoe. It has been shown that, provided certain conditions are observed, wells with the casing leaks can efficiently be operated.
