Theoretical and practical aspects related to improved performance of oil wells producing heavily water-cut oil are considered. The solution has been found in ESP-based dual-action pumping system providing for downhole oil and formation water segregation due to pressure differential, lift of water-free oil to surface and simultaneous pumping of water to water-absorbing formation.
