The main types of drill perforators are considered. The processes of preparation, risk analysis and results of test of the damage minimizing method of secondary reservoir opening - deep-penetration drill perforation, tests of which were executed within the framework of a System of new technologies of Rosneft Rosneft Oil Company in 2010, are described. Examples showing the advantages of damage-minimizing deep-penetration perforation before blasting ways of opening are given. The applicability matrix is constructed.
