This paper describes the results of the analysis of geological and production history of Pashiyan and Bobrik formations, the Romashkinskoye field, within the sanitary protection areas of several large cities. Guidelines worked out by TatNIPIneft Institute enable estimating the amount of produced oil and the residual reserves distribution in reservoirs and formations of large mature fields. Optimal practices and technological solutions were selected to improve development parameters and to increase residual reserves recovery efficiency considering the geology of the sanitary protection areas.
