Above-ground main pipelines calculation and durability test

Errors, which in opinion of authors, are introduced in SNiP (construction standards and codes) 2.05.06-85* Main pipelines, are considered. It is shown, that these errors lead to occurrence of inconsistent results at determination of design factors of above-ground main pipelines at presence in them of longitudinal compression stresses. It is offered to update the domestic standards in view of long-term experience of construction and operation of pipelines in various climatic and engineering-geological conditions.
