Testing of horizontal well fracturing technologies at the Rosneft-Purneftegaz oilfield conditions

Rosneft Oil Company resent experience in hydrofracturing of low-productivity horizontal wells and brief survey of applied technologies are presented. Specificity of horizontal well fracturing and differences from vertical wells case are discussed. Conventional fracturing, assuming creation of longitudinal fractures is compared with multiple-point stimulation of horizontal wells. Horizontal well fracturing field cases are presented, treatment details and stimulation efficiency are described.
