Usage of traditional technologies of oil and gas production leads to significant reservoir energy losses. Many specialists consider using of special turbines working on reservoir energy might solve this problem. However, practical implementation of such turbines is restrained due to the absence of solution of reliable turbine control when changing the flow rate of oil and gas wells.  Uncontrolled increase of rotor rotation speed might result in machine damage. The objective of this study is development of the special equipment and turbine for rational use of the reservoir energy during oil and gas production.

Micro model estimations and tests showed that turbine blade might be constructed as a permeable reticle. Considered method of energy conversion is unique due to the use of special turbine which allows gas and liquid flow through the blade. Used analytical and experimental research methods are aimed at studying gas and liquid flow through the permeable obstacle process and this will make possible creation of effective and low noise machines.

Experimental sample of the new hydraulic machine for rational use of reservoir energy during oil and gas production was constructed as a result of the design stage. Originality of the researched technical solutions is secured with patents. Bench tests of the created hydraulic machine with special turbine proved new principles of turbine work control. It is showed that force effect of gas or liquid flow on permeable obstacle and turbine rotor can be controlled, using the working principles of vortex diodes and vortex amplifiers. According to the results of performed studies, taking into account rotary movement might allow the creation of the new class of hydraulic machines with unique properties, including low noise turbines, pumps and compressors.

Main area of application of the researched technology deals with the oil and gas production on the offshore fields. Results of completed research and design studies are planned to be used for construction of effective separation equipment and turbines for electrical energy generation. Moreover, new turbines might be used in other spheres of industry, for example in aircraft construction, because of their small weight and compact size.
