The current development strategy of Jurassic reservoir (Novoportovskoye field) involves the use of horizontal wells with multi-stage hydraulic fracturing. Taking into account the short-term production results of stimulated wells the critical issue of the project becomes the examination of alternative well completion options. This study includes consideration and performance analysis of the horizontal and multilateral wells in the zones of the reservoir J
located below the gas cap. All well completion options are compared by the technological availability, drilling risks, economic and reservoir development efficiency.
