Investigation of the effectiveness of mutual arrangement of injection and production wells in the zonally inhomogeneous oil layer

On the basis of analytical solution a theoretical analysis of the displacement of oil by water from the zonally inhomogeneous layer, operated by the gallery of wells, is made. The problem was solved at a given pressure drop for the two schemes of oil displacement by water: Liebenson - Masket and Buckley - Leverett in one-and two-dimensional formulations. The obtained theoretical results were checked on the field data at one of Kazakhstan fields. The fulfilled analysis confirmed the applicability of the criterion of efficiency of mutual arrangement of production and injection wells, taking into account the permeability, layer thickness and porosity in conditions of real fields. Using the proposed criterion will allow purposefully change the system of wells location subject to filtration-capacitive properties of a layer.
