Search and mapping of producing formations on the western slope of the Surgut arch

The problems of oil producing formations mapping are considered on the example of one of the areas placed in the west part of the Surgut arch. The forecast is based on the results of detailed 3D seismic survey in conjunction with the geodynamic, paleo- and geomorphological analysis. The principles of selection of prospective areas in the Lower Cretaceous and Middle Jurassic sediments are suggested.
