Criteria for steels strength characteristics determining in various conditions of outwearing

The article deals with basic questions regarding to the prospects of development of high-strength and wear-resistant steels. In the paper is observed that already considerable time in the production of steels is used a big range of steels differing in a little from each other on strength characteristics. Developed by the authors the generalized evaluation criterion of wear resistance for steels' ranking without their testing for outwearing, can serve as a reliable guide to the choice of high-strength steels for different operating conditions.
