Different approaches to interpretation of the long-term pressure and flow rate data recorded using permanent downhole gauges are discussed. It has been demonstrated that vs. conventional pressure buildup curves, long-term pressure and flow rate data is a source of more reliable information. A case study of production analysis using Topaz software is presented.
