Analysis of geological and well logging data suggests that separate geological units exist in the producing intervals of the Bashkirian stage, which made us consider using dual completion technology for their development. The paper presents geophysical cross-sections illustrating existence of the uppermost and the lowermost units in the Aksubaevo-Mokshinskoye and Nurlatskoye fields. Geological and reservoir models have been constructed. Two development scenarios for Nurlatskoye field, commingled production and dual completion, have been analyzed. The results demonstrate higher efficiency of dual completion vs. commingled production: against the same value of cumulative water production oil recovery factor in the first case is approximately 5 % higher.
