Key words: rational mining, enhanced oil recovery (EOR) methods, national program.
The article regards the actual state of oil resources in Russia. It is shown that well-defined national policy for rational mining is necessary to get over negative trends. International practices are presented. The authors propose to form national program aimed at development and implementation of EOR methods.
