In this article, the authors are looking at the detailed analysis of reservoir prediction and reservoir thickness estimation using seismic data tied to pilot wells. This analysis has been performed during case studies of two reservoirs of the southern part of Priobskoye oil field. The workflow runs from general subsurface exploration all the way to detailed characterization. Two main approaches used in this study are: seismic facies analysis and 2D dynamic (petro-acoustic) modeling. This technology is commercialized in Paradigm’s Stratimagic & Nexmodel software modules.
