The use of heat pipes to cool the submersible electric motors

Authors: E.V. Poshvin (Novomet - Perm ZAO, RF, Perm)

The design is suggested and benchmark investigations of the system of submersible electric motors cooling with the heat pipes is carried out. It is shown that at feeding less than 15 m3/day an average temperature of the stator winding is reduced approximately by 15° compared to the compounded submersible electric motor.

Key words: submersible motor, heat pipe, test, temperature, heat transfer.
