The paper presents results of research into effect of chemical agents used in downstream and midstream operations on the process of oilfield waste water treatment by settling. It has been found that application of water-soluble and water-dispersible corrosion inhibitors to prevent treated water quality deterioration calls for preliminary research involving modeling of specific environment of actual facilities.
