New capabilities of alkaline waterflooding and fire flooding for development of viscous, high-viscosity and heavy oil pools (according to foreign publications)

On the basis of the foreign publications review it is shown, that for effective development of viscous, high-viscosity and heavy oil fields, which by geological characteristics are inconsistent with criteria of application of heat carrier injection technologies, the method of alkaline solutions injection can successfully be applied at corresponding characte - ristics of the reservoir fluids and rocks. Attempt to prove the necessity to return to consideration of the capability of fire flooding technology application is made.
