The paper presents the results of laboratory and pilot testing of hydrogen sulfide scavenger treatments of crude oil implemented at treatment facilities operated by two oil-and-gas production departments of Tatneft, namely at the “Andreevka” sour oil treatment facility of NGDU Nurlatneft and crude oil treatment facility of NGDU Bavlyneft. The products REATON-21-2 and Fesulfon-SNPKH-1200 M exhibited maximum efficiency as compared to other chemicals under consideration. According to field test results, flow rate coefficients for the above chemicals amounted to 2.0 and 2.2 grams per gram of hydrogen sulfide at the “Andreevka” sour oil treatment facility of NGDU Nurlatneft; and 3.1 and 3.8 g/g at the crude oil treatment facility of NGDU Bavlyneft.
